Speak easy
The Interphone is an all-in-one wireless communications system that allows you to talk on your mobile or bike-to-bike. Yup, that means no longer having to park up, take off your helmet and gloves, dial with cold hands, etc. The system uses Bluetooth technology and has a bike-to-bike range of 150 metres. The volume adjusts itself automatically according to wind noise, and it's voice-activated so you can make and receive calls on the move. All the hardware is contained within a waterproof module that can be fitted to any normal helmet. The microphone can be mounted on a boom for flip-front helmets or simply on a wire for full-face lids. A thorough user's manual explains all the intricacies, and it's supplied with all the essential fixing parts. When fully charged, the battery provides seven hours continuous talk-time and up to 700 hours on standby. The Interphone system costs £149.99 per helmet kit, and UK distributor MotoComp is offering a pair for £275. Contact 08700 340283 for more information.
