UTAG - in case of emergency
No one likes to think about crashing and getting hurt, but we all know it can happen. And if it does and you need hospital treatment, it's vital for the people treating you to know your medical details.
Previously, the only way to carry that information was to have it written down and stashed in your wallet - vainly hoping that it would be found if needed. Now, technology offers a smarter solution. UTAG is a USB memory stick incorporated inside an aluminium dog-tag that you can wear around your neck. It stores all of the details that a medical professional is likely to want to know: Your ID, blood type, donor information, religion, medical history, etc.
This information can be swiftly downloaded by anyone who has got a computer to hand, which is pretty much everyone nowadays – including paramedics. There is also a translation feature, so you can use the UTAG abroad without fear of interpretation mix-ups! Its purpose is easily identified by the 'ICE' (in case of emergency) letters displayed on the dog tag, together with the snake-and-staff medical symbol.
UTAG costs £19.99 and is distributed by Bike It. For more information, visit www.u-tag.co.uk.
