William Dunlop Takes Supersport Win At Skerries

Dickies sponsored superbike rider, William Dunlop, has come out on top at the Irish Skerries 100 in county Dublin. Just 4 weeks ago the rider crashed at the Senior TT race,  breaking his leg, and was out of the races for a month. Dunlop returned to Skerries on his Tyco Suzuki GSX-R600 to take the Supersport victory by 6 seconds.

Dunlop comments on his return and victory at the event,

“It seems that my osteopath Micky Kerr has the magic touch: he got Tom Sykes back on track a couple of weeks ago and onto the top step of the World Superbike podium; now he’s helped me do the same on the roads.”

The team only brought the Supersport bike to Skerries in order to do a run and see how Dunlop’s leg felt before the Southern 100. Dunlop continues,

“Everything went to plan, I felt quite good out on track and as I’ve said all year, the Tyco Suzuki GSX-R600 is a great wee bike to ride.”
