Craig Jones all set for 2008 WSS
Craig Jones – fifth in his rookie season in world supersport this year – is aiming a bit higher in 2008 and young Jones reckons he'll have the tools and the team to challenge in 2008.
Jones was with the Reve Racing Eckerold Honda team in 2007, running as the lone rider. Sponsorship money was tight but, as the season progress Jones' riding and results improved to the point at which he was on the podium and pushing hard.
"We've got sponsorship from a big Portuguese company – the same company that's building the track we'll be racing the final round of the world championship on," explained Jones. The team tried to poach my mechanics during the season, but we've come up with a better solution! We'll be running me and Migeul Praia, the Portuguese rider who's done a bit of superbike racing as well as supesport. It's going to be good because we've got the funds to do more winter testing and that's always really important. Should be good!"
