Youngy takes superstock win
September 2, 2005 - To cheers all round in the SuperBike office

And as the Mallory skies darkened, SuperBike's favourite Aussie supersport and superstock racer won the drastically shortened superstock race. Youngy fended off Lee Jackson to take the 12-lap sprint with Craig Fitzpatrick making it an all Yamaha podium with not a GSX-R1000 in sight (thanks to mistakes from regular front runners Andy Tinsley and Adrian Coates).

1st - Paul Young [Yamaha] 12:57.315, 2nd - Lee Jackson [Yamaha] +0.537, 3rd - Craig Fitzpatrick [Yamaha] +2.443, Marshall Neill [Kawasaki] +2.743, 5th - David Johnson [Suzuki] +3.457, 6th - Ryan Rainey [Yamaha] +3.630
