Our mate's grid girls

Edmeades bike mackenzie
March 6, 2006 - Kenny

Our young chum James Edmeades – who had a hell of a lot more success on a national superstock bike than in the R6 Cup – will be racing in the British Superstock Championship this season. James finished third in the national superstock cup last year, despite only completing seven of the twelve rounds, so it's a logical step, albeit still a big one.
This step forward has been made possible with the formation of Team Redline Racing which has the backing of local businessman Tim Walker, owner of Redline Motorcycles. Together with the financial backing of VSG security and AP Maintenance the team has the clout to aim for podium places. Redline has provided Edmeades with a new Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K6 for the season.
As well as racing in the Championship, Edmeades will be making an appearance at some well-known road races. The first in the 2006 calendar is the International North West 200. Edmeades received an invitation to race only a few weeks ago and, within days, was on a plane to visit the course and promote the race.
Later in the season James will tackle the mountain course of the famous Isle of Man TT as a newcomer.
And, for those who are wondering, yes, that is our close personal friend and emotional affairs agony aunt Mackenzie (and her pal Von) posing beside the bike. There's more about those gals on www.mackenziegirlfriends.com. Oh and if you want to get involved with the team contact them via Redlineracing@hotmail.co.uk. The first round of the British Superstock Championship will take place at Brands Hatch between March 24-26.
