At a fraction short of £100, the Pro Carbon fi ts into the range just below the full-on race models. These gloves prove that you don’t really need to spend more than a ton to bag yourself an excellent couple of hand-savers. There are multiple layers of cow leather in evidence, including a reinforced palm, plus polyurethane overlays on the outside of the little fi nger. The knuckle guard is made from a mix of steel and carbon, with extra carbon ‘spots’ on the fi nger joints and a padded cuff. There’s a women’s version, and the other colours are white/red, white/blue, white/green and black.
