Rossi, AGV and Aldo Druidi working together to part us from our cash.
We heard a rumour (a few years ago now though) that AGV sponsor Valentino Rossi to the tune of around £250,000 a season to wear its helmets. Since Rossi is (or was) the only rider to get on every podium in every race and have his pic in every magazine and newspaper on the planet and feature in more video and TV footage than the rest of the MotoGP grid put together, well, maybe, in the words of that shite shampoo advert, 'He's worth it.'
Well, here's a pic of the million dollar man and his new AGV Pista GP helmet with a paintjob by lid smudging legend Aldo Druidi. He looks pleased. We think the shell looks like it has been inspired by time spent in a wind tunnel. Not a bad thing.
There was no info as to when the Pista GP
would be in the shops for us mortals, but we're guessing around the Italian GP at Mugello in June or at the year at an Italian trade show. One thing we know for sure is that it will be both popular
and not cheap.
