Everyone loves loud pipes. Apart from old people and pedestrians with small children. And the fuzz.
But for us MotoGP wannabes there is no greater satisfaction than bolting on a race can for some ear canal damaging noise.
Everyone has heard of Yoshimura, Akrapovic, Arrow right? But Two Brothers? Big in the good ol US of A, TBR have been churning out exhaust pipes for the past quarter of a century and they are gaining a loyal following now on these shores.
Two Brothers existence came about from the obvious background of racing. In 1985 the American Erion brothers went racing and developed a passion for developing and tweaking aftermarket parts after growing frustrated with the products available at the time. This grew into a factory backed, national race winning AMA superbike team. After many successful years gaining a strong reputation, the brothers went about developing their own components and exhausts for the street market.
25 years later and Two Brothers Racing now produce top quality parts for the majority of the street bike market whilst continuing to sponsor and supply race teams across the world.
Ad manager Neil has got his grubby mitts on a pair of titanium cans for his ZZR-1400 longtermer which has certainly made a difference to the fat –arse rear end. They sound pretty awesome without having to reach for the paracetemol after each ride.
Guaranteed to save weight (the ZZR has shed 9kg since binning the standard cans) and claims of around 6hp in the midrange, the Two Brothers exhausts are a ‘sound’ investment for anyone looking to be a little leftfield from the normal big names without the huge price tags.
