Motorcycle Live 2012 – ten reasons to get your ticket!

The countdown to the UK’s biggest and best bike show is on! Advance tickets for Motorcycle Live 2012 are on sale now and the all-inclusive entry fee gives access to five exhibition halls crammed with all the latest bikes, clothing and accessories, plus non-stop entertainment from some of the biggest names in biking, custom, touring and classic zones, seven opportunities to ride a motorcycle AND entry into the jaw-dropping stunt display in the Ramp’d Up Freestyle Motocross Arena**.

Here’s our guide to Motorcycle Live in the form of the top ten reasons why you should book your tickets now!

1) All the new bikes!

Probably the top reason for the annual pilgrimage to Birmingham for most bike fans is to see all the new machinery for 2013 make its UK debut. All the big names in biking are there, bringing with them a whole host of shiny new bikes for you to feast your eyes on.

2) Meet the stars

With the race season done and dusted, Motorcycle Live is the best opportunity to meet the stars of BSB, SBK, MotoGP and more in a more relaxed environment than a high-pressure paddock. Expect on-stage Q&As and rider signings galore… don’t forget your autograph book.

3) A stunning stunt show

The Ramp’d Up Freestyle Motocross Arena is back for 2012, and not only is it bigger, more technical and more creative than ever before, it is completely FREE! The world’s leading freestyle motocross riders will be whipping and back-flipping across the ultimate indoor motorcycle playground in the most spectacular, jaw-dropping, mind-blowing visitor attraction at Motorcycle Live.

4) Learn a new skill

Motorcycle Live is the perfect place to broaden your two-wheeled horizon. If you’ve never ridden off-road before, or you want to hone your fledgling skills, the  FREE Yamaha Off-road Experience is the perfect way to get a taster, while the FREE ACU Try Trials Area in conjunction with BUMPY aims to introduce you to the skilful trials discipline. All equipment and expert instruction is provided so there are no excuses!

5) Take a test ride

The Test Ride Zone will make a welcome return thanks to Shoei, Sidi and Spada, and a great line up of bikes from leading manufacturers. Accompanied by out-riders, you can get out on the open road and get a real feel for the model of your choice – all for FREE. All safety equipment will be provided.

6) Get the kids on two wheels

There are three FREE riding experiences for kids so there you can get them started nice and early! At My First Honda Licence, kids as young as five can experience the fun of two wheels around a specially constructed street scene and under the watchful eye of fully-qualified instructors. The Red Bull Pro Nationals KTM Kids’ experience offers young riders the chance to take their first tentative steps to riding off-road, while at the Kiddimoto Fun Track children as young as two can have a go on a balance bike.

7) Get your non-biking mates on two wheels

The motorcycle industry’s Get On campaign will once again be offering FREE two-wheel taster sessions to novice and born-again bikers. For visitors with no experience at all – or even those who have spent some time away and want to get back into biking – the Get On arena should be the first port of call.

8) Movie time

The ever-popular Nick Sanders Cinema is back with a brand new short film depicting the charismatic long-distance traveller’s mad journeys across deserts and faraway places, with clips from his record-breaking Pan American journey The Incredible Ride along with his first record ride Fastest Man, a classic from 15 years ago.

9) Non-stop entertainment

The British Eurosport Entertainment Zone featuring the Blackhorse Stage will occupy the heart of Motorcycle Live. Steve Parrish and James Whitham will keep the crowd entertained with interviews and chat shows, along with a variety of interactive games – many of which will be new-for-2012 – and quizzes such as the ever-popular ‘A Question Of Bikes’.

10) Zones and themes

Cure itchy feet and plan an epic ride in the Escape Zone, ogle at the weird and wonderful machines in the Custom Xtreme Zone and appreciate some old beauties in the Classic Zone. There is so much eye candy you won’t know where to begin! On Wednesday 28 November Dirt Day offers an introduction to off-road riding, while Saturday 2 December is a celebration of the Isle of Man TT, with guest appearances from all the big names.

That’s ten top reason to get your tickets now… plus you save money if you pre-book. Motorcycle Live takes place at The NEC, Birmingham from 24 November – 2 December. Advance tickets cost just £16 per adult, £10 for seniors and £6 per child*. Call 0844 581 2345 or visit www.motorcyclelive.co.uk
