As i sit here I’ve just landed back from WSB at Monza. As usual the racing was really good with every race won by less than half a second. Monza is so fast it’s one of the only circuits left on the calendar where the slipstream effect can make a big difference to the outcome of a race. As with anywhere a fast bike is an advantage, but if you’re canny and have a bit of luck, even with a bike lacking a few horses you can be sucked along with the riders around you and get a result, especially since the start and finish line here were split.

 

Most of the talk in the paddock throughout the weekend was about track safety. Now Dorna are in charge of WSB they are asking why they should run at a track that’s no longer considered safe enough for Moto GP?…
