Where do you think a 220bhp-plus WSB GSX-R1000 engine is developed and built? Inside a top-secret race department of the factory in Hamamatsu perhaps? Or behind closed doors at Yoshimura Japan’s HQ? Well, both of those places play their part, but there’s a huge (and growing) role for a medium-sized industrial unit in Dorset. Because the long-established race team at Crescent Suzuki, near Bournemouth, has been working hard at developing its own tuning solutions, in partnership with both Yoshimura and the Suzuki factory. Crescent’s massively experienced team of techs, together with team boss Paul Denning, have the skills and the know-how to bring together the best mix of components from Yoshi, Hamamatsu, and their own in-house development parts to get the GSX-R onto a level playing field at WSB level.
