Sure, a bike trackday on a nice warm sunny day is bliss for all involved, we get that. But right now, unless you’re lucky enough to be heading to Spain for some warm winter tarmac, it’s cold tyres and even colder fingers.
OK, there might not be that much grip in January.
You have two realistic options – stay inside and sulk, or man up and get you some pre-season knee down at a cheap trackday. Trackday promoters aren’t daft and they know the only way to get decent numbers to a track in January or February is to knock the prices right down. £59 for Oulton Park, £90 for Brands Hatch or a paltry fifty quid for Cadwell Park – at these prices you can afford to buy yourself a set of wets to take along too.
