Aprilia Shiver 900 gets navigation and new colours for 2019

With an updated Shiver 900 for 2019, Aprilia are on a roll for 2019 ahead of Intermot.

The 900cc Shiver appeared two years ago to replace the 750cc version (co-incidentally the first bike I ever rode post passing my big test a decade ago…) but the problem with the Shiver is that, frankly, there are just other bikes you can buy instead. Soldiering on, Aprilia are still trying to tempt us into buying them, so for 2019 they’re throwing even more tech at it. You might not know that it’s already got riding modes, traction control and a TFT screen, but now it’ll also have ‘AMP’ multimedia capability, which means built-in GPS. Well, kind of anyway, because it uses your smartphone to provide on-screen navigation on the bike’s TFT display.

Otherwise, there’s a couple of new colour schemes and an update to the exhaust which attempts to shove fumes downwards rather than upwards, which should hopefully stop you from stinking of fumes after a ride.

Pricing TBC, we expect news on that front at Intermot.
