More 2019 BMW S1000RR details leak

Some naughty person somewhere has snapped and uploaded a couple of photos from a brochure and uploaded them to that thing they call the internet. After the designs were leaked in a patent application last month, we can now glean a few more crucial details about the 2019 S1000RR…

  • 207 HP at 13,500 RPM
  • 197 KG
  • 113 NM @ 11,000 RPM (81.9 lb-ft)
  • ShiftCam system (as seen in the new R1250GS)
  • Bi-directional gear shifter (blipper + quick shifter)

Nice. We love the S1000RR – it’s possibly our favourite litre bike – and those numbers are seriously respectable. It’s great to see a variable valve timing system, as well as a proper TFT dashboard, LED lights and some other creature comforts like hill start control. We can’t wait to ride it, and we’re expecting a full unveiling at EICMA in a few days time.
