A Honda CBR on a winding road would whet the appetite of any rider, but what about a 471cc, A2 licence legal CBR? Would a youth- friendly mini-Fireblade really be enough to keep you entertained?
The tight bends of this particular mountain road in Spain weren’t blessed with the finest surface, but it gave me the first chance to see if the new Honda CBR500R was worthy of the prestigious CBR moniker. Attempting to keep pace with a Honda CrossTourer piloted by someone who’s ridden the roads before, and I find myself running from inside to outside white line, cutting in the new toe-sliders and occasionally dragging the brake into the middle of the corner (due to a slight misjudgement on my behalf).
