BMW put the Roland Sands R90S concept into production

That beautiful blazing orange BMW R90S concept from Roland Sands a few issues ago was a bit special.

So special that BMW have decided to put it into production to mark 90 years of BMW Motorrad.  The R nine T as it will be known, stays faithful to the concept bike in terms of looks.  The Nine T is powered by an 1170cc air cooled boxer engine that makes 110hp and weighs in at a pretty respectable 222kg wet.  BMW are keen to point out the level of customization available on the Nine T, including a full titanium Akrapovic system and lots of HP carbon loveliness.

Unlike the one off mega bucks concept bike, the R Nine T will cost a reasonable £11,500.  At that price and with the buzz surrounding the concept bike we think they’ll prove pretty popular indeed.
