If you’re tired of having to swap between winter gear and less bulky clothing in the summer (not to mention the cost of separate wardrobes) then this jacket and trouser combo from Held could be just the answer.
Using various layers within the jacket means that the Goretex inner can be removed and worn as a wind and rain proof jacket away from use on the bike. When re-installed into the jacket it works to protect the rider from all of the elements along with the protection offered by the CE approved armour in the elbows and shoulders. When the summer eventually appears the Held jacket has plenty of venting to maximise airflow as well as a removable thermal lining making it a flexible jacket for use in all weathers.
The Goretex lining is also removable in the trousers, together with the jacket they make the perfect year-round combination. Protection in the trousers is also top notch with CE approved knee armour and again vented for maximum airflow in summer with the removable thermal lining.
Most winter gear is styled in the usual drab black colours associated with Goretex kit so it’s nice to see Held have put in the effort to make their jacket and trouser combination appeal to a wider audience with some bolder colours.
Prices are £379.99 for the trousers an £489.99 for the jacket
