Hooray. The sun has come out and the winter clothing has gone into the spare room. We’ve had Jerez and the riders are bitching at each other. The world is confirmed as correctly spinning in the right direction once more. That winter was long enough with those last few weeks of sub-normal temperatures dragging it out far too long. Editor John is using a Yamaha Super Tenere for a bit before it gets swapped over to me half way up M40 in the next few weeks. Looking forward to trying Yam’s off road/tourer.
I missed commentating on Texas but I was doing the first of the four summer X Games for 2013 out in Brazil. It’s a massive wrench for me to not do a MotoGP race, but a great opportunity to do ESPN to an enormous audience of, at times last year, 6 million people. I still find it amusing that some people in the village where I live think that I work for Sky fitting dishes on houses, so I play the game and say that I have a love of ladders and chimneys. Funny as, but I want to have a van plastered in The Simpsons or a leopard…
