The Suzuki Katana is back for 2019!

The covers were pulled off this morning in Cologne. It’s official, the Suzuki Katana is back. On the face of it, Katana will have everything you need in a motorcycle, a K5 GSX-R 1000 derived motor that produces 150bhp and 108Nm of Torque. Fully adjustable suspension, ABS equipped Brembo brakes and traction control. Yes, pretty much all of the running gear has been lifted from the GSX-1000S but at no point should that be considered a bad thing. What’s most important here is the simple fact that this bike looks badass.

Everything from the square headlight to the red lettering on the tank and lines so sharp you could cut yourself is absolutely on the money. One piece handlebars sit perfectly above a tank that looks like it might be on the small side, but for now we don’t care. Because Katana.

We’re pretty sure you’ll be able to throw a leg over the Katana at the NEC show in Birmingham and you can expect to see the bike on showroom floors early in the Spring of 2019. Awesome work Suzuki, we can’t wait to see more of this bike.
